SCAN’s Holiday Wish List 2009
Help SCAN bring the joy of the holidays to children and families served by our child abuse prevention programs.
SCAN's childcare programs for our Parent Education activities need donations of nonperishable children's snacks and art/activity supplies.
In addition, SCAN's CASA volunteers appreciate new gifts/games/books that they can share with their assigned children as they build rapport.
Ideal donations would include:
- preschool art & craft supplies
- nonperishable children's snacks
- baby and toddler toys (shape sorters, dolls/stuffed animals, ring stackers, big peg puzzles, cars/trucks, blocks/Lego's, Play-Doh etc.)
- board games, especially those that encourage development of social problem solving skills, cooperation, and frustration tolerance (Sorry, Life, etc.)
- coloring books & children's books with non-violent, non-religious themes
- new unwrapped toys especially for children age 2 years and up
- gift cards to teen-friendly stores (Target, Old Navy, etc.)
- grocery gift cards (Target, Giant, etc.) that help families with a special holiday meal
