SCAN Honored with Northern Virginia Leadership Award
SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) of Northern Virginia was honored with the Community Trustee Award at the 2007 Northern Virginia Leadership Awards (NVLA), presented by Leadership Fairfax, on November 2 at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA.
SCAN received the Community Trustee Award for a Nonprofit, which recognizes a nonprofit organization that has demonstrated service and stewardship in the Northern Virginia community. SCAN was selected for its leadership in cultivating and leveraging relationships with local governments and nonprofits to provide outstanding programs that make an enormous difference in lives of individual children and families in the Northern Virginia region.
