PARENT EDUCATION
PROGRAM IS LOOKING FOR A PARENTING CLASS
FACILITATOR
SCAN's
popular ABCs of Parenting Class in Spanish (next
scheduled for Spring of 2010) is in need of a new,
spanish-speaking class facilitator. Do
you know someone who has experience working with
families and parents, is energetic and engaging
when working with groups and feels confident they
can facilitate groups of parents from diverse
backgrounds?

CASA
TO HOST SOCIAL EVENT
SCAN's Alexandria/Arlington CASA Program will
host a special Social Event on
February 11, 2010, to focus on multicultural
volunteer recruitment. In cooperation with
the Northern Virginia Multicultural Volunteer
Recruitment Committee, SCAN will offer guests an
opportunity to learn more about its CASA Program
and why there is a special need for African
American and bilingual Latino volunteers.
The event will take place at Cafe Pizzaiolo
on Mt. Vernon Avenue in Del Ray. Contact SCAN to RSVP or learn
