On November 13th, SCAN will host a Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention training with Arlington’s Project PEACE. The FREE training is available through SCAN’s official partnership with Darkness to Light. SCAN invites community members to join us for an empowering training that will:
- · Raise your awareness about signs and consequences of child sexual abuse
- · Equip you to minimize the risk of abuse in your professional and volunteer settings
- · Prepare you to respond appropriately if you suspect abuse
- · Educate you about your responsibility as a mandated reporter
- · Explain how to protect yourself in your role as a professional or volunteer
The training will take place 1:00 – 4:30 PM at the Central Library Auditorium located at 1015 N Quincy St., Arlington, VA 22201
