Circle of Hope Gathering Thanks Donors, Welcomes New Supporters

May 29, 2017

May 29, 2017 – On May 26th, SCAN welcomed 40 guests to The Athenaeum in Old Town Alexandria to recognize members of SCAN’s Circle of Hope, and invite others to become a part of this generous group of donors. Long-time CASA Volunteer Shelly DeButts gave a stirring presentation on why she became a CASA and what her responsibilities as an advocate for children entail.  Guests enjoyed wine tastings and appetizers from Susan Gage Catering. Also during the event, SCAN founder David Cleary thanked Tim and Jennifer Gale for hosting prior Circle of Hope receptions and for their continued support of SCAN.

SCAN’s Circle of Hope is a group of individuals who support SCAN by making annual gifts of $1,000 or more. These generous supporters are a critical source of support for SCAN’s Parent Education, Public Education, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Programs. Their donations enable SCAN to protect children and strengthen families throughout Northern Virginia.
