From the blog: A campaign for every community: Kids Need Connections
May 1, 2014
Last month, we launched the Kids Need Connections campaign across Northern Virginia. It’s a campaign about every adult taking responsibility for every child in a community–and how making that connection can prevent abuse and neglect, strengthen families and help our community thrive. We distributed tens of thousands of materials over the past 4 weeks, including:
We also saw our campaign mentioned on the pages of the Alexandria Gazette-Packet, AlexandriaNews.org, Arlington Connection and Leesburg Patch. But this campaign is just getting started. We’ll use these words — Kids Need Connections — all year long to frame how our programs, our volunteers and YOU can be a part of raising safer, stronger, happier children.
So if you haven’t downloaded and shared materials yet, please do so. And stay tuned in the coming months for some exciting NEW resources (including children’s book guides and workshops for resource providers) to help you engage others in the important work of connecting with kids.
And of course, use #kidsneedconnections to talk about the campaign on social media all year long!
