Parent Education and Outreach Coordinator
Our organization is expanding, and we are seeking a mission-oriented individual to help extend our reach and impact in the Northern Virginia area. Join our team and develop the blueprint to engage the community and build connections with families, businesses, schools and other organizations interested in collaborating with SCAN’s Parent Education programs. The person holding this position will have a passion for making a difference in the community, ability to work with various audiences, be an engaging speaker/presenter, reliable, and have a strong work ethic. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating logistics for parenting programs in select counties. Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and at a minimum three years in community relations, non-profit, or related field. Experience within human services or school system in the Loudoun county is strongly preferred. At least 60% of time will be within the Loudoun County area.

Public Education Outreach Coordinator:
The Public Education Outreach Coordinator will collaborate with community partners to schedule, recruit, and organize training workshops; identify and foster relationships with new community partners; and assist with day-to-day office operations related to SCAN’s Public Education Program.

Events Coordinator:
The part-time Events Coordinator will be responsible for generating and monitoring venues and logistics for SCAN’s two special fundraising events plus other smaller fundraisers and events hosted by SCAN throughout the fiscal year to support the organization’s mission. The Events Coordinator is supervised by the Development Director and collaborates closely with the Development Director, Development Associate, and Public Education Coordinator as well as SCAN’s Executive Director, board, and other staff to facilitate events.

Children’s Program Coordinator – Prince William County:
This part-time, contract position will provide supervision and quality structured children’s activities for children while parents are participating in a weekly parent session. Program will be implemented in Eastern Prince William county.
