May 24, 2017 – Burke & Herbert Bank raised more than $2,200 for SCAN of Northern Virginia’s child abuse prevention programs through its an annual coin drive at branches throughout the month of April—National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Many individuals and groups contributed to this successful campaign including elementary school students and administrators in Alexandria City Public Schools who contributed $140 of the total collected. Burke & Herbert Bank matched coin donations made at its branches with a $1,000 grant.

As it has been during the past five years, their response was truly heartwarming.”
