Our mission: Change lives.

Children removed from their home because of abuse or neglect face a frightening unknown.

We make sure they don’t face it alone.

We provide trained volunteers to be their voice in court.

A voice for children

CASA volunteers are a constant for children who have been abused or neglected.

They advocate for children to make sure they don’t get lost in an overburdened system. CASA’s will stay with their child until they reach a safe, permanent home.

A voice for the court

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are appointed by judges to advocate for children.

They meet with the child and everyone in the child’s life, then make recommendations in the child’s best interest directly to the court. They make sure the judge understands what the child needs and wants.

Children assigned a Court Appointed Special Advocate are:

More likely to be adopted
More likely to do well in school
More likely to have a plan for permanency
Half as likely to reenter foster care
Less likely to be moved from placement to placement

Hundreds of foster children have a CASA by their side, but many more need one.
